Bosmar Game Lodge & Safaris respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you enquire with us or use this website, how we use it, and the rights you have under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who we are
Bosmar Game Lodge & Safaris (“Bosmar”, “we”, “us”) is part of the Bosman Boerdery family and operates a private game reserve near Nylstroom (Modimolle) in the Waterberg, Limpopo, South Africa. Information we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us. When you submit an enquiry or contact form, that is typically your name, email address, telephone number, intended dates or party size, and the content of your message. If you contact us by email or phone directly, we hold that correspondence. We also collect limited, non-identifying technical data (such as device and browser type and aggregate page views) to keep the site secure and understand how it is used.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to coordinate and confirm your stay, safari, hunt or event, to answer questions, and to send you information you have asked for. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing you have not requested.
Lawful basis
We process your information on the basis of your consent (which you give by contacting us), our legitimate interest in responding to and managing enquiries and reservations, and, where relevant, to take steps at your request before entering into a booking.
Who we share it with
We share information only with trusted service providers who help us run our business — for example our email, website hosting and content-management providers — and only to the extent they need it to provide those services. They are required to protect your information and may not use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function and, where enabled, privacy-respecting analytics to measure aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking them will not stop you from browsing the site or sending an enquiry.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and reservation information for as long as needed to assist you and to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may store data outside South Africa. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to be protected to a comparable standard.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or updated, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is intended for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a parent or guardian.
